Our Story
Why We Started
Aromhya
India is a land of extraordinary scent memory. From the first rain on dry earth to the incense smoke of a thousand temples — and yet, no brand was telling these stories. We decided to.
The Beginning
In 2019, Priya Menon returned to her family home in Thrissur after years abroad. The moment she stepped through the gate, the smell of her grandmother's courtyard — wet stone, jasmine, the faint sweetness of agarbatti — made her cry.
She had smelled a thousand fine French perfumes. None of them smelled like home.
That question — why does no luxury fragrance smell like India, sound like India, feel like India — became an obsession. She began interviewing families across eight states, documenting the scents attached to their most vivid memories.
What emerged was the Indian Memory Archive: hundreds of stories, each centred on a scent. The smell of turmeric paste at a first wedding. The incense at a grandmother's funeral. The chai that meant home in a Delhi winter.
Aromhya was born to translate those archives into bottles.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Authenticity
We never manufacture nostalgia. Every scent is grounded in real memories, real places, real people.
Craft
Small-batch production. Hand-blended formulations. No shortcuts, no mass manufacturing.
Transparency
We share every ingredient, every source, every price breakdown. You deserve to know what you're wearing.
Heritage
India's perfumery tradition spans 5,000 years. We honour it by learning from it, not imitating it.

How It Works
From Memory to Bottle
Memory Collection
We gather stories from families, elders, and communities across India — each centred on a powerful scent memory.
Scent Archaeology
Our perfumers identify the key olfactory notes in each story: the botanicals, the earth, the spice, the season.
Small-Batch Formulation
Working with traditional attar distillers and modern perfumers, we blend each fragrance in runs of under 500 bottles.
Archive & Release
Every bottle ships with a QR code linking to the original memory story. You don't just buy a scent — you carry the archive.
